1. The Consultation

   Your mini rhinoplasty journey begins with a one-on-one consultation. During this visit, Dr. Esmail will review your medical history, discuss your aesthetic goals, and examine your nasal structure. High-definition images and 3D VECTRA imaging may be used to precisely assess your nose and preview potential results. Together, you’ll determine if mini rhinoplasty is the best approach to achieve your desired outcome.

2. Day of Procedure

   Mini rhinoplasty is performed under local anesthesia in our advanced treatment suite and typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. Using specialized 2mm micro rasps, Dr. Esmail gently refines small bumps or irregularities through tiny incisions that often do not require stitches. Most patients experience minimal discomfort and can return home shortly after the procedure.

3. Post-Op: Day 1

   You can resume most normal activities the next day. Mild swelling or tenderness may occur, but it usually subsides quickly. Over-the-counter pain relief and cold compresses can help manage any temporary discomfort.

4. Post-Op: Week 1

   By the end of the first week, swelling continues to decrease and your results become more noticeable. While light activity is encouraged, it’s best to avoid strenuous exercise or heavy lifting for about seven days to allow proper healing.

5. Post-Op: 1-Month

   At your one-month follow-up appointment, your results will be well defined and your nose will feel natural. Most patients are fully healed and enjoy a smoother, more balanced profile that blends seamlessly with their facial features.

1. Surgical (Primary) Rhinoplasty

   If this is your first surgery, you fit under primary rhinoplasty. Depending on what is required, what type of anesthesia is chosen and if any of the procedure is covered by insurance, the price will vary.

2. Asian (Ethnic) Rhinoplasty

   In the past ethnic rhinoplasty was done to give patients a more Western-looking nose, but today the surgery is performed in a way that enhances the appearance of the nose while maintaining ethnic features. You are able to change the way your nose looks to become more attractive according to your standards without losing any ethnic distinction.

3. Revision Rhinoplasty

4. Alar Reduction

   Alar reduction is a rhinoplasty technique designed to refine the width of the nostrils. The alar refers to the outer portion of the nose that extends from the tip and curves outward toward the cheek. During this procedure, a small incision is made on either the inside or outside of the nostril to carefully remove excess tissue. The result is a more balanced, proportional appearance while maintaining the natural shape of the nose.

5. Liquid Rhinoplasty

   Liquid or Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure that uses dermal fillers and Botox to subtly reshape the nose. It can be an excellent option for camouflaging small bumps, lifting a droopy tip, or adding tip definition. However, it is not suitable for correcting crooked noses. Because non-surgical rhinoplasty is one of the most technically demanding and higher-risk injection areas, it should only be performed by surgeons with advanced knowledge of rhinoplasty. At Visage, Dr. Esmail is the only injector who performs this treatment to ensure the highest level of safety and expertise.

6. Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty

   A mini ultrasonic rhinoplasty is performed through a closed approach with a tiny incision placed inside the nose, leaving no external scars. This advanced technique uses a specialized instrument called a Piezotome, which allows for precise bone reshaping while minimizing trauma to surrounding soft tissues and reducing recovery time.
