About Scalp Micropigmentation Winnipeg

Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is an incredible new solution for hair loss. It is the act of placing and properly positioning pigment into the epidermal layer of the skin on the scalp. This process is used to restore hairlines, add density to thinning hair in men and women and camouflage any scars on the scalp. It is a unique technique that replicates hair follicles, enhancing your appearance, making you look younger and giving you back the confidence you may have lost due to hair loss.

Benefits of Scalp Micropigmentation

We truly believe scalp micropigmentation is the best solution for hair loss. No pills, creams, sprays, surgery, scars or time off work. Not to mention it’s less than half the price of a hair transplant.

We truly believe scalp micropigmentation is the best solution for hair loss. No pills, creams, sprays, surgery, scars or time off work. Not to mention it's less than half the price of a hair transplant.

Types of Conditions it Treats

  1. Balding

SMP is the ultimate non-surgical life-changing treatment where natural pigments are applied at the epidermal layer of the scalp to replicate the natural appearance of hair follicles. Filling in where needed, we create the perfect hairline to suit your specific needs.
  2. Alopecia

No one truly knows the cause of alopecia except it’s an auto-immune disorder that attacks the hair follicles. SMP is a real solution for people with alopecia. We can fill in patches, blending it into the rest of your hair, or we can completely create a full head of follicles for you. We’re here to help!
  3. Scarring

If you have had a hair transplant, been in an accident or had surgery on your head, you may have been left with a scar. Hair simply does not grow on scars. We can apply our technique over the area to camouflage and conceal the appearance of the scar, blending it in with the rest of your hair follicles.
  4. Thinning Hair

SMP will add the appearance of more volume and fill in the thinning area, increasing density, leaving the hair looking thicker. For women, hair represents a significant portion of their womanhood. Pregnancy, menopause and stress are just some of the reasons women start losing their hair. Men can also add density in their problem areas; for example, the crown area where the scalp is visible.

How is Scalp Micropigmentation different than a tattoo?

Micropigmentation is a form of medical/cosmetic tattooing but it isn’t as invasive as a regular tattoo and it is completely different process and uses a different type of needle and ink. SMP equipment only penetrates the epidermal layer of the skin making it a lot less painful than a tattoo.

Are the pigments harmful?

Our pigments are made of organic non-toxic ingredients so there should be no adverse effects. If you have extremely sensitive skin, we recommend a patch test prior to treatment.

How do I look right after the procedure?

Depending on the sensitivity of your skin, there will be redness for 10-48 hours following treatment. The colour will also appear darker until is settles.

How long does Scalp Micropigmentation last?

No one can fully guarantee how long the results from Scalp Micropigmentation will last. Everybody is different, and the rate in which your body removes the pigmentation will vary. However, proper aftercare maintenance such as hats and sunscreen will help to maintain your results and will allow your treatment to last up to 5 years before requiring a touch-up and 10 years overall.

Can you match my hair colour?

Yes, we are experts at customizing the ink to make a perfect match for each individual.

Is Micropgimentation painful?

Each individual will have a different pain tolerance. The pain level most clients experience from micropigmentation is between 2-4 out of 10, nowhere near the pain of a tattoo. The needle is much smaller and is only the skin for a fraction of a second for each follicle.
